Meantime London Porter

This Porter is done just right. The malt has been deeply, darkly roasted, without leaving a prevalent burnt taste like you can get with many porters (yours truly’s homebrewed porter attempts included). Meantime provides an all around excellent beer to celebrate this evening.

Now, about the photo: My plan was to juxtapose the Meantime brand with the calendar of the swiftly waning December, 2011. But the bottle gushed when I opened it and the pour overflowed, spoiling the shot. I don’t blame the brewers and bottlers in England for this mishap. I rather suspect our youngest child. He had earlier mentioned that the uniquely shaped bottle was “cool”. I think he probably picked it up and admired it vigorously while my back was turned.

Oh well, tomorrow will be another day and another attempt at a picturesque pour.
In the meantime, Aaaah, this is a good tasting beer.
