Lila p'o means "very foggy" in the native American language Lakota. P'o is an extremely interesting word, phonetically speaking. It's pronounced with an extra puff of air from the lips between the "p" and "o". I'm relaxing after several hours of driving through the fog this morning to pick up my mom from the airport. I can't say the fog was quite as thick as pea soup. Rather, I'd say it was as thick as this pleasant Blarney Brown Ale.

Shake Chocolate Porter
We had some leftover turkey while we watched the Iowa Nebraska game and for desert I had a splendid chocolate porter. Starting with a whiff of Nestle Quick powder, the flavor comes on bold and slightly bitter. The refreshment doesn't just end after the swallow, because even the drips from one's mustache are quite tasty. A nearby Hy-Vee store had a tasting last week and this was the beer they convinced me to buy.

Hazed and Infused
At Old Chicago with my son Cameron, I had the opportunity to try this new release from Boulder. The photo does not do justice to the rocky head that lasted throughout. I found much more and fresher hops in the aroma than I did in the flavor. Overall it was light and very refreshing.
