Castaway

We are enjoying our Christmas vacation playing board games, eating ham, and drinking good beer. This IPA was part of a Christmas gift to our family from Tom and Karen. It offers a nice grassy hop flavor, but there is something off, sort of metallic perhaps, that strikes me now and again while drinking it.

Big Wave

There is in here some very nice flavors of lemon and straw. The coffee table shown here is my next project. We will be covering it in bottle caps and resin. Hopefully there will be more photos here of the process as we go along.

Pipeline

Thanks to Erik Rottmann for finding this dark treasure. The coffee flavors enhance rather than distract from the porter

Longboard

With the snow coming down as big fluffy flakes, my daughter Rachel and I head north to Rochester, Minnesota for her appointment at the Mayo Clinic. She needs vaccinations and medicines for her trip next month to tropical Haiti. After the appointment, we visit a local restaurant with big glass windows where I can sit and look out at the snow coming down and drink on a refreshing island lager.

Very drinkable, this tropical themed beer does wonders for the imagination on a snowy day in Minnesota.
