What a nice treat to have a neighbor stop by with a homebrew to share! This tasty, smooth ale was great to accompany my pork tenderloin sandwich and sauteed vegetables.

Blasen's American Pale Ale

Tonight I want to mention a Pale Ale deserving awards. My neighborhood friend Tim Blasen, fellow brewer and blogger, recently submitted his Pale Ale in a home brew competition. Made with Iowa grown hops, it has an easy going flavor with a nice balanced hop bitterness. Sampling this ale, I was so pleased I voted for it (twice) as best in show in the competition. I'm looking forward to including more entries from Tim's handiwork on this blog in the future.
