Here’s another souvenir we brought back from Trader Joe’s, KBC Porter. Because I still have my Inspire Robust Porter in the house, I have to compare every other porter I drink to my own recent attempt.
KBC is definitely smoother than mine, with a little more complexity in flavor; there's a hint of something that reminds me of roasted mixed nuts. The hops are more pronounced in KBC than in mine, but that’s not necessarily an improvement for this style of beer. Overall, I’d buy it again next time I’m at Trader Joe’s.
