Sprecher Black Bavarian style beer has the body and flavor substantial enough to stand boldly with a hearty
meal of beef and cabbage. Dark in visual
color and flavor, the full flavor of deeply roasted malt makes this one of
those beers that not all of us will appreciate, but some of us will just adore.
My sons and I were
discussing beer, just two nights ago when Sandy and I took them and some of
their college friends out to dinner. These young men are still learning and, as
they say, “acquiring” the taste for beer.
I try to be patient,
understanding and sympathetic to those who say of beer, “it has an acquired
taste.” But, seriously? I just don’t get it.
As for me, there was
never a moment in my life when I said or thought something like, “I don’t like
beer yet. Maybe I will later.” It has always come naturally for me,
Some will certainly say
that Black Bavarian has a taste that requires time and effort to acquire;
others of us will find in it a pleasure so natural it must be innate.
