From the label: "A float trip is the
quintessential Ozark experience. A canoe, kayak, raft or tube and a pristine
spring-fed Missouri stream creates a lasting memory of our wild and beautiful
outdoors. Our hand-crafted blonde ale is the perfect accompaniment to your day
on the river or to simply bring back float trip memories."
As I floated on Lake of the Ozarks, I sipped on this enjoyable blond ale -- pretty easy going but much bolder than the usual lager. I floated out of the cove, far enough into the main channel to watch the traffic. A boat that would cost me a year's salary, maybe two, came by quite close. As his wake bobbed my tube, I just held on to my ale and waved with the free hand. The man captaining didn't wave back. He was too busy holding the steering wheel in his one hand and using the other to handle what appeared to be a very important cell phone call.
As I watched him speed away I became extremely thankful for my little float, thankful no call was disturbing or distracting me, and thankful for this nice pint of ale.
