This is a dark beer. . .
marvelously dark. I noticed after a quick Google search of this beer, that many
are drinking it from a snifter or a tulip glass. I would normally take the
typical stout in a pint tumbler. But having this in my snifter allowed me
opportunity to sit with it, and slowly let the deep dark aroma of the roasted
grains and the hints of chocolate and coffee to harmonize and resonate in my
sniffs and sips.
In this way, beer is
meant to be appreciated and savored, not just chugged and abused. Take the time
to enjoy what you have in your glass, and then, as Hedley Lamarr says,
"Now go do that voodoo that you do so well!" ("Blazing Saddles", 1974)
