Kulmbacher Eisbock

Today is our 25th Wedding Anniversary. I took my wife to Schera's in Elkader, an especially international little place in the sub-zero hills of northeast Iowa. With my lamb chop, squash polenta and roasted Brussels sprouts, I had a very pleasing German Ice Bock. The legend about the development of this style is an interesting read on the brewer's website. It was a perfect beer for a perfect date.
