Swiss Amber

For quite some time now I’ve thought about conducting an experiment. I’ve wanted to develop a lesson on how the bitterness of hops has added much to the overall experience of beer. W/out hops beer is sugary like this. I’d brew two batches of nut brown or amber ale following the same recipe only leaving the hops out of one batch. Well, before I could get around to it, Minhas Brewery has done me a service.  They offer here an ale with no noticeable hop flavor. It demonstrates quite clearly how sadly, sugary boring our beer would be without the bittering of hops.

I recommend this Swiss Amber only for educational purposes, not for drinking for refreshment.
