Asahi

In the next few days we will be going around the world in a 6-pack.  My friend Julie Allen selected these for me at a World Market. 

I’ll start with Asahi, a brand that’s been in Japan for a while. When I was a young beer can collector, my uncle Raymond was stationed in Japan with the US Air Force. He mailed me a couple of Asahi cans. But today is the first chance I’ve had to taste it. It is crisp and light with a very clean finish, which seems to be what the label means when it says, “Super Dry”.
