This rich dark beer has a chocolate-like sweetness followed by some moderate warmth of pepper in the finish. Overall it’s a pretty good beer for an amazingly high price. The lesson in this bottle: “It’s better to have a cheap beer exceed your expectations than to have an expensive beer that underwhelms.”
