Widow Maker Black Ale

The description on the label says it well, "Don't let its looks deceive you. Clean and smooth, easy on the hops and easy on the palate, the light bodied ale has a surprising depth of malt flavors with pleasant hints of a smoky molasses." Too many beer drinkers pass by dark colored beers thinking they will be heavy and thick. There is a popular misconception that light color means light feeling. Don't be afraid of the dark! In general, dark colored beers will offer flavors that come from grains that have been roasted longer. They need not necessarily be heavier or denser. This Widow Maker was much lighter in body than many golden colored beers.
