I'd never heard of this beer until I pulled it from my Advent Beer Calendar this morning. But I am so very glad to make its acquaintance. This Belgian Brown Ale has remarkably complex flavors of toast and dark fruits, twisting around the Belgian sour. This demonstrates why the Advent Beer Calendar is such a fun gift. I might have overlooked this one on the shelf at the grocery, but when it's packed for me in the Advent Beer Calendar, I get an unexpected treat.
