An interesting and fun aspect of pulling the different beers from my Advent Beer Calendar is seeing where they are made. Today's funky and sour Saison comes from Kansas, a state that's provided me with only a few beers previously. If I had a little more time and a lot more money I'd like to travel more, looking at breweries and tasting their beers.
Here's a map showing the Ultimate Brewing Tour of the U.S. There's a short jaunt into Kansas. Notice also how it goes right past us here in Northeast Iowa on the way to Topling Goliath.
