Scotch Ale

This is just a beautiful beer. It's part of Central Waters Brewer's Reserve Series, aged in bourbon barrels. The sweet, aged malt has rich flavors of candied fruit on dark toast. My family did an excellent job in getting this one for my Beer Advent Calendar.

Sandy prepared us some very tasty sandwiches with Wisconsin cheeses, which I paired with this pleasantly balanced Wisconsin ale. The nice light caramel sweetness is matched with a tangy sweetness like spring berries.
