Red Hoptober

Red Hoptober seems to have an acquired taste, a concept I have discussed earlier in this book in the entry on Sprecher Black Bavarian.  At first taste the combination of harsh hops with the darkly roasted malt strikes me as dissonant and weird.  But I get used to it after a while.  The last sip from the glass is much nicer than the first.
