Isolation

This is a pleasant enough ale.  There's some interesting spicy hop flavor and some other unrecognizable flavors, that I can't tell if they are there on purpose.

Myrcenary

As I patiently watch the smoker do its good work on the brisket, I can catch up on some reading and sip on this exceptional double IPA. I love the fruity aromas and the bold but not overly powerful hop flavor. Reading the label makes for a good biochemistry lesson in these last days before school starts again.

On our brewery tour of Colorado last summer we were surprised and disappointed that Odell brewery was closed when we arrived. Apparently their hospitality is good, but runs out at 4:30 p.m. So it has taken me extra long to sample anything from this company. This Scottish inspired ale seems to be their flagship brand and it is exceptionally good. Nutty malt flavors and a noticeable hop kick gives it good marks in my book.
